SEOUL, May 19 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has admitted to drunk driving and apologized. Kim has decided to leave SBS’s “Trolley” (literal title), an upcoming drama she planned to appear in.

The agency Gold Medalist announced on May 19, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern with the accident that occurred through Kim Sae-ron's drunk driving."

It also mentioned, "Kim Sae-ron is deeply reflecting on her mistake" adding, "We sincerely apologize to many people who were harmed and inconvenienced through the accident as well as all the people who are working hard to repair the damaged public structures.”

The agency added, "Kim Sae-ron promised to do her best to restore the damage."

Kim was found to have crashed into guardrails and street trees several times while driving on May 18. As the electric transformer broke down due to the accident, the electricity supply to 57 nearby stores was cut off for about three hours.

The actress blew on the breathalyzer and the result tested positive at the time, while she refused to measure her blood alcohol concentration and was sent home after a blood test.

The agency said, "Kim Sae-ron will sincerely cooperate in the police investigation.”

Kim debuted as a child actress and appeared in various movies, such as "The Man From Nowhere," "The Neighbors," and "Barbie," and dramas, including "The Queen's Classroom" and "Mirror of the Witch." She has currently been cast in the upcoming Netflix series "Hunting Dogs(translated)" and SBS’ drama "Trolley(translated).”

Kim decided to leave “Trolley,” and the shooting schedules of “Hunting Dogs,” are being discussed.
