BUSAN, Jan. 4 (Yonhap) -- The Busan Chamber Music Festival will begin on Jan. 7.

This year’s festival, which marks its fifth anniversary, will take place under the slogan “Da Capo.”
Da Capo is a musical term that means “from the beginning.”

It is about the hope of returning to normal life before COVID-19 to perform as much as possible and collaborate with the audience.

The festival will begin with violinist Shin Zia.

Shin will play a list of repertories loved by classic fans including Franck’s “Violin Sonata” and Sarasate's “Carmen Fantasy” with fellow musicians, under the title of “Exciting Journey” at the Medium Theater of Busan Cultural Center on Jan. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Young Chamber musicians will fill the stage with “Invitation from Passion," on Jan. 12.

Soprano Park Eun-joo and Countertenor Kim Dae-kyung will perform a wide range of vocal music stages from Vivaldi to Richard Strauss on Jan.13.

The Chamber Festival, which will continue until the 19th, will showcase a variety of chamber music, including violinist Kim Dong-wook and 12 musicians representing Busan and performances by each university ensemble.
