SEOUL, Jan. 29(Yonhap) – K-pop superband BTS, which has been on a long vacation since early December last year, will have a peaceful break during Lunar New Year holidays without any special schedules. The group is expected to meet their fans after the vacation in the Seoul concert scheduled for March.

The 7 members are enjoying their second long-term vacation since the Los Angeles concert in December. BTS, who has created their personal Instagram accounts, have been sharing their daily lives of visiting the library, art galleries, and the beach, according to the music industry on Jan. 29.

The agency Big Hit Music has not announced how long the vacation will be, but it is expected to continue until the Seoul concert in March, according to the industry.

Although the performances of popular culture have decreased due to COVID-19 omicron variant, the concert scheduled for March is being prepared as planned. Considering the group’s popularity, the concert is most likely to be held in the Seoul Olympic Stadium, which can accommodate over 50,000 people.

However, the stadium currently has a seating capacity of up to 4,000 people due to resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, the Seoul concert is expected to have more intense ticket reservations than ever.

Big Hit Music has yet to reveal the specific schedule of ticket sales.

After the concert, BTS will attend the 64th Grammy Awards in Las Vegas on Apr. 3(KST). The group is nominated for the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” category.

At the 62nd awards ceremony in 2020, BTS performed a joint stage with Lil Nas X, and at the 63rd awards ceremony in March, 2021, the group performed the solo performance of the hit song "Dynamite" as a nominee.

Big Hit Music has not unveiled specific information about BTS' new album. However, some predict that the new album is likely to be Korean considering that it has released 3 consecutive English singles, such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Permission To Dance,” since the album “BE,” which contains the song “Life Goes On,” in November, 2020.
